Welcome to Mar Lodge

Surrounded by exquisite scenery, Mar Lodge is a wonderful venue for civil, religious and humanist ceremonies. Within the Lodge, wedding vows can be exchanged in the Great Hall on the balcony of the grand staircase or in the bright and spacious Drawing Room.

Ideal for drinks receptions, the stylish interconnecting public rooms allow guests to relax, mingle and enjoy the surroundings, before dinner in the beautifully appointed Craggan Ballroom or elegant Dining Room.

From the Lodge, a short stroll through the grounds leads to the amazing Stag Ballroom for ceilidhs, dancing and the evening's festivities. A unique timber building displaying some 2,500 stag antlers dating from the Victorian era, the Stag Ballroom is also available for ceremonies, dinners and parties.

Set amidst 29,000 hectares of magnificent Scottish countryside, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, Mar Lodge Estate is surrounded by ancient forests and rolling glens, wild rivers and rugged peaks. Mar Lodge Estate occupies nearly 7% of the Cairngorms National Park, covers some of the most remote and scenic wild land in Scotland, including four of the five highest mountains in the UK.

Built as a Victorian hunting lodge for the Duke and Duchess of Fife in 1895, Mar Lodge is an idyllic setting for Highland weddings and an exclusive venue for corporate events, family gatherings and private parties.
