Welcome to Dundas Castle
Situated just a few miles away from the city of Edinburgh, Dundas Castle offers a grand and wonderful Castle location for every destination wedding couple. As an exclusive use venue, every couple gets access to the Castle and it’s immediate private grounds entirely to themselves for their friends and family. A true gem, on the doorstep of Edinburgh, with the city centre located only 12 miles away.
With history dating back to the 12th Century, the Castle was lovingly restored in the 1990’s by Sir Jack and Lady Stewart- Clark, whose vision has been interspersed throughout the current design.
Inside the castle there are seventeen gorgeous bedrooms in Georgian Style, that can accommodate thirty seven guests. A great option for an indoor ceremony is The Great Hall with its vaulted ceiling and original stonework, creating a truly romantic setting for an authentically beautiful Scottish wedding. If you are looking for an outdoor ceremony, you can either get married on the front lawn with the Castle as a backdrop or you can say your vows in the Courtyard with its white stone fountain and coloured, arched doors.
Dine in the atmospheric Stag Chamber if your Wedding party is less than 26 persons, or within the elegant Croquet room for up to 60. The Castle also boasts a permanent Pavilion on the front lawn that seats up to 200 persons for larger groups.
